Here's a prime example of who we are...love animals-cats, dogs, all God's creatures; we love and share rare and collectible books of all kinds in our rare book room; we love to have visitors experience our comfortable environment; we love the history of the Black Hills, Hot Springs and Western Americana and have many volumes to share with others; we are involved in the community; we showcase our local artisans who create wall art, jewelry, wood crafts, clay, fiber/fabric objects, glass, acrylic paints, music (Celtic, cowboy, inspirational, flute, Native American, instrumental), painted rabbit skins, bone and brass chokers, photographic images for cards and magnets, framed paintings, beeswax candles, and unique creative items you just have to experience.
We opened Black Hills Books and Treasures in September of 2000 in the historic district of Hot Springs. We moved to our current location on Chicago Street in November of 2002. We have expanded in many ways and are proud to bring items from our worldwide artisans thru our Fair Trade partners/Lutheran World Relief/SERRV. We carry Leanin' Tree cards and gifts along with other Made in America items for the home.
We are Rich and Diane Gross, proprietors. Welcome to our humble abode!
